  • 1960 PhD in experimental physics at University of Basel with Prof. Dr. Paul Huber
  • 1965 Married Andres Hanspeter Zschokke (1930) Dr. iur., citizen of Aarau and Malans
  • 1974 Appointment to Professor, Chair of Applied Physics at University of Basel / First female professor in physics at the University of Basel
  • 1979 – 1981 President of Swiss Physical Society SPG
  • 1988 – 1992 President of „Koordinationskommission für Universitätsfragen“ at Department of Education Basel-Stadt
  • 1993 – 1996 President of Section IV for National Research Programmes NRP/SPP of Swiss National Science Foundation
  • 1997 – 2002 Member of the ETH council
  • 2000 – 2003 President of PRODEX programme committee of the Federal Committee for Space Affairs
